Kootenai River Development Council is a non-profit organization tasked with serving the needs of service organizations, residents and existing institutions in meeting business and community aspirations.
Our services are available to formulate plans and implement needs assessment, project development and operate as a fiscal agent for funding sources. In these cases we are appraising and participating in community solutions to supplement our business and economic development focused work.
The city of Libby, Montana is a Affiliate Main Street Partner with the Montana Department of Commerce. Through this program KRDC is managing a Visitor Assessment project to evaluate a perception of place from an outsider perspective. We are also assisting the Heritage Museum with a strategic plan for an “Operating History” Exhibit for the Museum’s 1906 Shay #4 Steam Locomotive. Most recently KRDC commissioned a plan for trails and recreation in the greater Libby area for non-motorized use.
